From humble beginnings, Grace Jerry embarked on her musical odyssey with an unwavering belief in the potency of music to uplift and inspire. Her early years were marked by a deep-rooted connection to the church choir, where her melodious voice first found its wings. It was within the walls of her local congregation that the seeds of her passion for gospel music were sown.
Driven by an unrelenting desire to fuse her faith with her musical talent, Grace Jerry ventured into the realm of professional music. Her debut album, E go Happen, emerged as a testament to her devotion to gospel music, showcasing a unique blend of soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and melodies that transcend boundaries. GRACE ALACHE JERRY, a stemmed figure, renowned for her versatility as a public speaker, music minister, composer, producer, recording artist, a Human/Disability Rights Advocate and above all a lover of God. She doubles as the convener of the Experience Grace ministry and the Executive Director of The Inclusive Friends Association (IFA) – a disability rights organisation that uses data to address the social economic inclusion and participation of the over 35 million persons with disabilities in Nigeria. As a composer, producer, and recording artist at Experience Grace Music, she has organize numerous concerts and the popular Monthly Experience Grace Online concert on Facebook and YouTube, recorded five (5) albums to her credit and has ministered and performed alongside great music icons in Nigeria and beyond, She is a recipient of numerous accolades and awards nationally and internationally, Grace Jerry is so full of life with a sweet positive spirit. She has composed and produced the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) tribute song, “Unstoppable” to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 2021 for the US Department of States. She produced the campaign’s theme song, “Democracy Without Women” (Mek We Dey Go) to the National Democratic Institute campaign on violence against women, and recorded and produced the song, “E Go Happen” which featured the Mandela Washington Fellows from Africa to showcase cultural diversity and the contribution of young African leaders to cultural development and social change. She also recorded and produced the song “Take Responsibility” in 2020 to create awareness on the Covid-19 pandemic and call on people to take responsibility to keep safe, and produced the “Music for Toilet” project which used a blend of music and advocacy to raise funds to provide accessible toilets and water facilities that benefited over 8,000 children with disabilities and households in Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. Grace is a Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumniand a member of the Presidential High-Level Advisory Council (HLAC) on Support to Women and Girls. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including the MEGA Song of the Year 2013, and the Adobe Government Creativity Award 2020. Grace sits on the Board of many executive committees both Nationally and Internationally.
